Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves supervising a team of electrical and mechanical technicians, promoting a culture of safety and quality, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair of production equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Lead and manage a team of electrical and mechanical technicians, providing guidance and coaching to ensure high-quality work.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and repaired to prevent downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations to identify and resolve equipment failures and process deviations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of maintenance staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and materials, ensuring timely delivery and availability.
  • Develop and implement emergency response procedures to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary school certificate, diploma, or degree in an engineering or maintenance program, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Ontario Electrician License 309A and/or 442A, or Certified Millwright 433A, is desired.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role with leadership experience.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC, and controls background.
  • Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in preventative maintenance and repair of CNC equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adapt to change based on business requirements.
