We are currently seeking an experienced Loan and Investment Broker to join our team. This role will be focused on arranging financing and securing lending for local Alberta development and construction projects, working closely with the President and CEO.

Job Description
  • Work collaboratively with the President and CEO to secure new construction loan financing and investment capital for the development and construction of the company's land portfolio.
  • Cultivate relationships with potential lenders and investors to secure new capital and resources for company construction projects.
  • Prepare loan documentation packages for submission to third-party lending institutions for approval on project financing.
  • Advise internal leadership on the best course of action to maximize loan potential and project financing awards.
  • Liaise with third-party lenders and underwriters to ensure smooth loan application and approval processes.
  • Collaborate with the finance, accounting, real estate development, and construction teams to provide accurate and timely information and materials to third-party lenders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong track record of brokering construction loans and investments for residential land development projects, with values up to $50M per transaction.
  • A well-established network of lending and investment contacts for generating new loan and investment financing funds.
  • Direct experience in commercial brokerage or lending institution underwriting positions, with expertise in construction loan underwriting and draw financing.
  • Strong leadership skills, initiative, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
