New Base Rates start at $52.15 per hour, making this a highly competitive opportunity. All tools are provided.

Job Description

  1. Implement plans, drawings, and specifications related to equipment installation, modification, repair, and operation.
  2. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
  3. Participate in the design and field modification of apparatus and equipment.
  4. Service and operate specialized equipment and tools.
  5. Maintain an adequate inventory of parts and supplies.
  6. Troubleshoot, maintain, test, and repair industrial, electrical, and control systems.
  7. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep records.
  8. Develop and perform switching procedures as authorized.
  9. Maintain records and drawings associated with the position.
  10. Adhere to applicable safety and environmental standards and regulations.
  11. Participate in continuous educational and professional development.
  12. Prepare cost estimates as required.
  13. Supervise apprentices and other staff as required.
  14. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Hold an Interprovincial Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate, or equivalent.
  • Be able to perform the physical requirements of the position.
  • Demonstrate ability to cooperate and deal tactfully with others.
  • Show ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
