Job Title: Associate Category Manager, Kids Reading

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Category Manager to join our team at Indigo. As a key member of our Reading division, you will be responsible for driving growth and profitability within our kids reading programs and select categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the Reading strategy and oversee individual programs and select categories to ensure financial goals are met while improving the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute Indigo's vision and strategy, including planning, inventory management, and digital teams.
  • Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs, and surface customer trends to Print Experience Merchant and Print Reading Merchant.
  • Develop and execute visual merchandising standards that evolve customer experience, in partnership with the Print Experience Team.
  • Partner with the planning team to maximize inventory efficiencies and increase profitability, and with the Inventory Team to develop store allocations and optimization plans that support the Category Strategy.
Requirements:
  • University degree in business or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in buying and category management of specialty, book retail or publishing industry.
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership experience, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to learn and adapt in a constantly changing environment, and to communicate a compelling and inspiring vision and sense of core purpose.
  • Results-driven, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the organization.
