Carpentry Supervisor Position

Skeates Contracting Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpentry Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of our carpentry team, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare production and other reports to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend measures to enhance productivity and product quality, working closely with the team to implement changes.
- Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to ensure smooth project execution.
- Estimate costs and materials for projects, preparing bids and proposals as required.
- Requisition materials and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
Requirements:
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Commercial, independently owned business, industrial, and institutional work settings.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings, with a strong understanding of carpentry principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Working Conditions:
- 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
- Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and safety vest are essential.
