About the Role
This position will report to the Mechanical Supervisor in the Mine Maintenance Department. As a Journeyperson Welder, you will work safely in a mining environment and be able to follow the procedures and policies that are in place. You will weld, fabricate, and cut to build, maintain, and repair equipment, plan, layout, and use trade skills for assigned work, and participate in safety meetings and inspections, and following standard operating procedures.
What You Will Bring
You will bring a Saskatchewan or Interprovincial Red Seal Welder, positive safety behavior and safety leadership, good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in an underground shop environment, ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors, ability to work safely and effectively in a labour-intensive team environment as well as independently, willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training, stable work record, and previous experience in an industrial environment is an asset.
