Landscape Architectural Technologist/Project Manager

Community Development Opportunity
We are driving the future of Community Development, and we are seeking a creative and driven Project Manager/Landscape Architectural Technologist to help lead our Edmonton Team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of project development, from schematic design to contract administration and close-out.
- Prepare client presentation materials, design development documentation, site analysis, construction documentation, contract administration, and submissions on a wide variety of projects.
- Identify and solve technical issues, conduct site meetings, and coordinate work with construction crews, clients, consultants, sub-consultants, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate plans and specifications with project consultants and internally with the design team and construction staff.
- Assist landscape architects and other designers with project management and contract administration.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and other marketing materials.
- Coordinate and schedule multiple field construction milestones and team members to achieve results.
Qualifications
- Excellence in AutoCAD/Civil3D and LandFX 2018 or higher, Sketch-Up, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other graphics software.
- Experience with Revit/BIM360 is an asset.
- Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills.
- Forward thinker with the ability to seek out and adapt to innovative technologies and processes.
- Excellent file management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively on a team within a collaborative environment and multi-task effectively.
- Experience in preparing contract documents, specifications, and working drawings.
- Construction/Field experience with the ability to collaborate with clients and contractors.
- Valid Driver's License with the ability to travel to and from site.
- Membership or ability to become a member with the AALA (Alberta Association of Landscape Architects) and/or CSLA (Canadian Society of Landscape Architects) is an asset but not required.
Education and Experience
- College diploma in Landscape Architectural Technology/University degree in design-related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5-8 years of a mixture of office and field experience and project management experience.
- 5-8 years Construction knowledge and contract administration experience.
- Local knowledge of plant material and City of Edmonton and other standards.
We offer a flexible work environment with a mix of deskwork and fieldwork, a hotel or semi-permanent workspace, and the ability to work partially from home.
