About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Quick Work Construction Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations, using measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials such as wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create structures and fixtures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the stability and integrity of buildings.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the construction process.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work site environment: At heights, confined spaces, noisy, dusty
  • Work setting: Construction, various locations, renovation, commercial, industrial, residential
  • Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair
  • Tasks: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads, large workload, overtime required, physically demanding, tight deadlines
  • Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years, permanent employment, 40 hours per week, English language
