Inventory Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Supervisor to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. This is a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role in managing our warehouse operations, ensuring that our inventory levels are accurate and optimized.
The successful candidate will have direct accountability for overseeing inventory of ingredients, packaging, and commodities, as well as managing risk of obsolescence versus supply shortage. They will be responsible for reconciling warehouse inventory on a regular basis, performing physical inventories, and coordinating with production coordinators to optimize processes along the supply chain.
- Manage warehouse inventory and optimize processes along the supply chain.
- Reconcile warehouse inventory on a regular basis and perform physical inventories as needed.
- Coordinate with production coordinators to plan volumes and meet warehouse needs.
The ideal candidate will have three to five years' experience in a distribution environment, a university degree, and strong knowledge of Third-Party Storage requirements. They will also have excellent data entry and computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as excellent organizational and analytical skills.
As a key member of our team, the Inventory Supervisor will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, customer service, logistics, sales, and marketing, to build a solid trust-based relationship and drive accurate inventory, minimize old age, minimize product shortage, and reduce inventory loss/discrepancies.
