Job Title: Account Manager

We are seeking a skilled Account Manager to provide exceptional client-focused account support and relationship management to external clients and internal consultants.

The Account Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing and retaining an assigned business block
  • Providing strategic thinking and innovative solutions
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with external and internal colleagues
  • Conducting plan member education sessions when requested
  • Ensuring necessary tools, benchmarking, and renewal reports are prepared and delivered to clients
  • Developing communications required for plan sponsors and their employees
  • Participating in industry conferences, seminars, and promoting services and keeping abreast of industry trends and activities
  • Maintaining deep knowledge of administration, including in-house and carrier best practices, and liaising with implementation stakeholders as needed
  • Defining service standards with clients and managing account lifecycle according to set service agreement/commitment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in group benefits in a client-facing role
  • Ability to act as a brand ambassador or key liaison for cross-functional services associated with People Corporation
  • Understanding of the group benefits industry, including funding arrangements
  • Completion or ability to complete GBA and/or Life License Qualification Program (preferred)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and strong team player who works well with internal and external stakeholders
  • Solutions and results-oriented individual who demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables as identified promptly
  • Proficiency and comfort working with multi-channel technology
  • Valid driver's License and vehicle
  • Time management and prioritizing tasks and responsibilities to ensure optimal productivity
  • Strong communication skills - must be able to articulate ideas, provide instructions, and actively listen to team members and colleagues
