About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Barada Development. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, cutting and fitting them to meet specifications, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Supervise and coordinate with other workers to ensure efficient project completion
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and fabricate suspended metal ceiling grids
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, ensuring a smooth finish
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs, prepare wall and ceiling layouts, and estimate costs and materials
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Commercial work setting experience
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a physically demanding environment
