BALANCED is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to provide technical support and execute IT projects in diverse business environments. This individual must be a flexible self-starter with strong communication skills, a strong and positive attitude, and hands-on experience in computer networking and network security products.

We are looking for experienced professionals or those with directly related college diplomas or university degrees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Installation: Design and install well-functioning computer networks, connections, and cabling connections.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Perform troubleshooting to network failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long-term efficiency of network. Inspect LAN/WAN/Internet infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs.
  • Software Configuration and Testing: Test and configure software and maintain and repair network devices.
  • Network Performance Evaluation: Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement.
  • Upgrade and Maintenance Scheduling: Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their own work.
  • Data Backup and Security: Do regular data backups to protect the organization's information.
  • Technical Direction and Collaboration: Provide technical direction to co-workers on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and instructions. Collaborate with peers to execute daily operations and special projects.
  • Client Information Systems and Compliance: Maintain records of client's information systems and ensure compliance at all levels within project teams.
Requirements
  • Self-Starter with Proven Track Record: A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible achievements.
  • Network Technician Experience: Proven experience as a network technician or relevant position.
  • Diagnostic and Problem-Solving Skills: Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Network Knowledge and Experience: Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies. Hands-on experience with common software and hardware.
  • Fortinet Certifications and Experience: Hands-on knowledge of the Fortinet line of products, specifically FortiGate, FortiSIEM, and FortiSOAR. Fortinet certifications are required.
  • Education and Qualifications: College diploma, BSc/BA in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field. Knowledge and experience in delivering network engineering, and cybersecurity.
  • Work Experience and Skills: 3+ years of work experience in a professional environment is preferred. Experience in performing server reoccurring maintenance. Cybersecurity skills, including VPN, MFA, EDR, phishing simulation, spam filtering. Ability to manage monitoring (Zabbix) and ticketing (Zendesk) systems. Project management, time organization.
Additional Requirements
  • Education and Emerging Technologies: University or college degree in software development, computer science, engineering, or math (or in progress). Demonstrated ability to work effectively with emerging technologies.
  • Travel and Performance Evaluation: Travel to/from the client site will be reimbursed (car required). Your performance will be evaluated every quarter, direct feedback will be provided, and personal/professional development will be appreciated financially.
