Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Atlantic Canada. As a key member of our HR team, you will work closely with managers and employees to support the achievement of our business objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to provide HR expertise and assistance to managers, drive HR compliance, and ensure consistency of HR practices and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR expertise and assistance to managers in people management and talent acquisition;
  • Participate in the development of programs and solutions to meet business needs and internal customer requirements;
  • Drive HR compliance, work injury follow-up, and ensure consistency of HR practices and policies;
  • Identify development needs for employees and recommend solutions to resolve situations;
  • Provide coaching and counsel to management on general employee relations, including disciplinary and performance issues;
  • Participate in talent identification programs, coordinate and monitor succession plans;
  • Support management for workforce planning and talent acquisition;
  • Manage the talent acquisition life cycle, including job description development, applicant monitoring, and onboarding documentation.

Requirements

  • Bilingualism (French) is mandatory;
  • Excellent English oral and writing skills;
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in an HR client service-facing position and/or involvement in recruitment activities;
  • Degree or diploma in Human Resource Management;
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Acts, Human Rights, Labour Laws, and Health and Safety;
  • Member of the Chartered Human Resources Profession (or CPHR Candidate) is an asset;
  • A strong sense of continuous learning, fact-finding, and the ability to multi-task;
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
