Join Our Team as a Building Code Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Building Code Consultant to join our team at CEP Forensic Inc. As a Building Code Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients' projects meet the necessary building and fire codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with building and fire codes
  • Assist senior experts in project management and client interactions
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and delivery
  • Represent LRI Engineering in client interactions and site visits
  • Review construction drawings for code compliance and develop alternative solutions
  • Prepare project reports and assist in budgeting and proposal management
  • Manage client expectations and provide support in business development and marketing efforts
Requirements:
  • Appetite for new learnings and ability to start from scratch
  • Experience in design review and code compliance, preferably in medium to large size residential, commercial, and institutional buildings
  • Knowledge of Ontario Building Code (Part 3), National Building Code (NBC), and Fire Codes (NFC & NFPA)
  • Analytical, time management, and organizational skills
  • Self-driven with high initiative and resourcefulness
  • Versatile and able to manage varying workloads and competing priorities
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with project team members and clients
  • Able to obtain government security clearance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
