Job Summary

Parker Drilling is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roustabout to join our drilling operations team. As a Roustabout, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our drilling rigs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with crane operations and deck activities, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of equipment and personnel.
  • Participate in the drilling process, including the handling of tubular and tools, and the maintenance of circulating, rotating, hoisting, and well control systems.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the drilling team by providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with other crew members to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment, including mud pumps and other machinery.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and supplies, and the transportation of personnel and materials.
  • Participate in emergency response and contingency planning, and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the drilling team leader or other supervisors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in a drilling or rigging role.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with drilling operations, including drilling and well control systems.
  • Knowledge of rigging and lifting operations, including the use of slings, shackles, and spreader beams.
  • Experience with mud pump maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, including emergency response and contingency planning.
Working Conditions

The Roustabout will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to noise, vibration, and other hazards. The position requires the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in adverse weather conditions. The Roustabout will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including hard hats, steel-toed safety shoes, and hearing protection.
