Your Role

Reporting to the Design Director, this Project Manager will oversee the Design division's operations, directing, monitoring, and interpreting all aspects with minimal supervision. You'll ensure compliance with Enersolv standards and codes while meeting client expectations and improving project profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast workload and analyze progress for prospective projects.
  • Distribute new work based on staff availability and workload requirements.
  • Prepare and develop Schematic Design and Design Development reports and drawings.
  • Assign tasks to junior staff and review their completion.
  • Represent Enersolv at meetings with project clients and stakeholders as required.
  • Adequately review field services to ensure contract document adherence.
  • Implement programs to enhance service quality, products, and systems to meet client needs.
  • Train staff in design phases to maintain technical continuity when absent or on vacation.
  • Manage small to medium projects with minimal oversight.
  • Establish and administer procedures for team management.
  • Stay updated on code developments and innovative designs.
  • Participate in seminars, professional associations, and trade events.
  • Contribute to hiring staff, recommending promotions, and monitoring performance.
  • Collaborate with the Construction Division on Design & Build projects.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of design experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
  • 3+ years of AutoCAD experience.
  • Relevant project management experience in consulting engineering.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with clients and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PEng) or Applied Science Technologist (AScT) preferred.
