About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to join our ESG practice in Calgary. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of GHG emissions assurance, regulatory verification, and emissions calculations, primarily in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead teams on corporate GHG inventory in alignment with the GHG Protocol and ensure the accuracy of GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and other ESG metrics.
  • Lead and support teams on regulatory verification under various provincial and federal programs, including Alberta, Saskatchewan, and BC GHG regulations, and other OBPS under ISO verification standards.
  • Assist clients with the development of targets, identification of decarbonization opportunities, and implementation of TCFD-aligned climate risk strategies and disclosures.
  • Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills and actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential.
  • Support client relationships and business development initiatives, including leading proposals, identifying new target clients, and developing "go-to-market" strategies.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a Master's degree (MBA, MSc., or MEng.) preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Engineering, GHG emissions verification, ESG, or Sustainability in verification agencies, consulting, or industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of Provincial GHG emissions verification experience in Alberta, SK, BC, etc.
  • Understanding of GHG emissions calculations in Upstream and Midstream Oil and Gas, Utilities, including facility and corporate level GHG calculations.
  • Knowledge of leading ESG reporting frameworks (CDSB, SASB, TCFD, GRI, etc.) and corporate Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions based on the GHG Protocol.
  • Experience in drafting reports and deliverables for senior management and executives.
