AGAT Laboratories is a leading laboratory with a strong presence in Canada. We offer a unique opportunity for an entry-level Field Technician to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional analytical solutions.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work with our team in Fort McMurray, AB. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for gathering samples at various sites, working closely with our partners to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hydrocarbon field sampling (oil/condensate, natural gas, water, emulsion) with precision and accuracy.
  • Participate in an on-call schedule, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Travel to various sites, sometimes requiring short out-of-town stays.
  • Book field jobs and complete associated paperwork with attention to detail.
  • Travel will be required on a daily basis, with approximately 90% of the job involving field work.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or relevant technical training.
  • Knowledge of oil field/SAGD operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with various hand tools.
  • Ability and eagerness to learn new skills and sampling protocols.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver abstract required.
  • H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO, PST, CSTS would be considered assets.
  • All training will be provided for the right candidate.
