Interior Health Authority is seeking a permanent full-time Rural Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician to join the Mental Health Adult Short-Term Assessment and Treatment (ASTAT) team at the Osoyoos Health Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for adults and elderly individuals with serious mental disorders and/or substance use problems.
- Provide short-term individual and group psychotherapy, psychogeriatric support, and collaborative community planning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure responsive and sensitive assessment and treatment services.
- Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies and provide urgent response intervention to individuals in acute crisis.
- Consult with other care providers and coordinate services for adults and elderly individuals with mental health and/or substance use problems.
- Strong assessment and treatment skills.
