Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse will be a key member of the Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) or Tertiary Mental Health Services multi-disciplinary care team. The successful candidate will provide timely, responsive, evidence-based treatment and clinical supports to individuals with serious severe and persistent mental health problems, and/or problematic substance use and/or development disability issues.
- Assess and treat individuals with complex mental health needs, providing case management and community support as required.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide urgent response to clients in crisis, utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.
The ideal candidate will have experience providing brief mental health and substance use assessments of clients in crisis, and working in a variety of settings such as office-based, community-based, and in-hospital. We are seeking candidates with flexibility, critical thinking skills, and an ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
This is a Casual Opportunity with Interior Health Authority. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions. Shifts of work are days from 08:00 to 16:00.
