Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our team at Dynacare. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery of supplies, and resolving service and operational issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate logistics operations, including tracking and monitoring supplies, and escalating issues to the Operations Manager as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicating with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve service and operational issues.
  • Liaise with dispatch, warehouse, distribution, customer service, and labs to facilitate resolution of routine service and operational issues.
  • Assist drivers with routing or delivery issues, communicating changes to service requirements and fleet vehicle maintenance.
  • Support operations managers in implementing programs and policies to bring efficiencies, increase customer experience, and reduce costs.
  • Generate and maintain reports, files, databases, and/or other documents to monitor and track service delivery performance, client-specific reports, and invoices.
  • Identify service or process issues and provide recommendations for potential solutions.
  • Perform quality assessments for route completeness and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor and arrange for vehicle maintenance scheduling and ensure inspections, service, and repairs are completed on a timely basis.
  • Enter driver hours into the payroll system in a timely and accurate manner for Manager approval.
  • Support the safe driving program by participating in ride-alongs, providing peer training, and recommending improvements to driver training and SOPs.
  • Coordinate annual training plans for health and safety, defensive driving, TDG, WHMIS, and other mandatory training courses for both new and existing couriers.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with documentation of workplace accidents and ensure necessary protocols are followed.
  • Participate in safety programs and activities, including training, communication, inspection, investigation, and general safety promotion.

Requirements:
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Effective time management and ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver with strict timelines.
  • Strong customer service skills, offering best-in-class service to internal and external customers.
  • Balance multiple priorities with sound decision-making, critical thinking, and organization skills.
  • Ability to lead by example with a positive attitude and respectful of others.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, bringing forward recommendations, collecting data, and implementing solutions.
  • Foster open communication between all team members.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in a transportation industry, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Updated certifications and licenses required to practice in the field.
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, excellent computer, and keyboarding skills.
  • Valid G driver's license with a clean driving abstract and 2 years of full G-class driving experience.

Working Conditions:
