About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Identity Architect to join our team at the Government of Nova Scotia.

This is a permanent position, offering a competitive salary range of $80,786.16-$94,882.58 annually, Bi-Weekly: $3,107.16-$3,649.33.

About The Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering secure digital identity services. They will provide identity and access management subject matter expertise, architecting operationalizing, delivering, and continuously improving identity services built around user needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Protect Clients and Assets: Use the Zero Trust model to safeguard clients and assets through cloud security, identity and governance solutions.
  • Design and Deploy Security Solutions: Design, deploy, and maintain security solutions including Microsoft Entra ID Governance, FIDO2 Passwordless Authentication, and Conditional Access.
  • Provide Specialized Advice and Training: Provide specialized advice and training to users on leveraging directory, identity management, federation, and public key infrastructure services.
About Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science plus a minimum of 5 years' experience, or graduation from a recognized Information Technology program plus 5 years and 6 months experience, or an acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience.

You must also have experience with Microsoft 365 Defender/Advanced Threat Protection, designing, migrating, implementing, and maintaining enterprise hybrid identity environments, implementing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory services, and maintaining and supporting Microsoft Identity Manager or a comparable identity management suite.

In addition, you should have experience working in a health care or public sector environment and have experience with Windows Server operations, REST APIs, and identity/authentication standards.
