About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Corporate Law team in Calgary. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting lawyers with routine corporate matters, including incorporations, amendments, and corporate maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Preparation: Draft and revise various corporate documents, including incorporations, organizations, share allotments, transfers, and corporate changes.
  • Review and Document Management: Obtain documents from registries, maintain and review corporate records, and upload executed documents to virtual minute books.
  • Preparation and Assembly: Prepare and update information for extra-provincial registrations of corporations, business names, and partnerships.
  • Liaising and Communicating: Respond to general corporate inquiries and provide information to clients and lawyers.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Paralegal Certificate or Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience as a Paralegal within a law firm environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional communication skills with clients, lawyers, and team members.
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage a large workload volume, competing priorities, and demands.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, EnAct/Alf, and Aderant.
