Pharmacy Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Innomar Strategies. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in filling prescriptions and ensuring accurate dispensing.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Enter, scan, and process prescriptions using our pharmacy software, maintaining accurate records and data.
- Verify that customers receive the correct prescription(s) and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment, adhering to regulatory standards and company policies.
- Screen telephone calls for pharmacists and respond to internal and external customer inquiries.
- Order, receive, and maintain inventory of medications, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing stockouts.
- Prepare and process billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies.
- Review invoices and other documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Pack and ship prescription orders according to established protocols, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain pharmacy records, including patient information, prescription data, and inventory levels.
- Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and internal and contractual obligations.
- Assist in general housekeeping and administrative duties, as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy experience an asset.
- Proficiency in Kroll pharmacy software an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with excellent time management skills.
- Bilingualism (French/English) an asset.
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry required.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills, with ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in cold-chain distribution an asset.
- Previous experience with biological and/or cytotoxic medication and sterile preparation an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office Programs required.
