Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cargo Handling Specialist to join our team in Goose Bay, NL. As a Cargo Handling Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to Transport Canada Regulations, responding to cargo inquiries, and providing freight quotes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Adherence to Regulations
Ensure that all cargo handling activities are in compliance with Transport Canada Regulations.
Respond to Cargo InquiriesRespond to customer inquiries regarding cargo handling, shipping, and delivery.
Provide Freight QuotesProvide accurate and competitive freight quotes to customers.
Accept Small FreightAccept small freight shipments and issue waybills as required.
Provide Internal and External Customer SupportProvide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Manage Cargo Supplies and InventoryManage cargo supplies and inventory to ensure efficient operations.
Process Cargo for ShippingProcess cargo for shipping based on customer needs.
Perform General Office DutiesPerform general office duties as required.
Operate Forklift and Delivery VanOperate forklift and delivery van as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 Years' Experience
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in providing customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional Customer Service SkillsMust possess exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent Communication SkillsMust exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to Work Independently and in a Team EnvironmentMust be able to work independently and in a team environment.
