Job Title: Biotechnology Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Biotechnology Professor to join our team at Canadore College. As a Biotechnology Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of biotechnology.

Job Summary:
  • Teach and mentor students in biotechnology courses
  • Develop and implement curriculum for biotechnology programs
  • Conduct research in biotechnology to stay current with industry developments
  • Supervise students in laboratory settings
  • Prepare and administer tests and evaluations to assess student progress
  • Advise students on career paths and provide guidance on academic and professional development
Responsibilities:
  • Teach biotechnology courses to students at various levels
  • Develop and implement curriculum for biotechnology programs, including course outlines and assessments
  • Conduct research in biotechnology to stay current with industry developments and advancements
  • Supervise students in laboratory settings, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Prepare and administer tests and evaluations to assess student progress and understanding
  • Advise students on career paths and provide guidance on academic and professional development
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in biotechnology or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in biotechnology education or research
  • Proven track record of teaching and mentoring students
  • Strong research skills and ability to stay current with industry developments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
