Director, Ontario Veterinary College Advancement

AFP Golden Horseshoe Chapter seeks a seasoned fundraising leader to drive advancement efforts for the Ontario Veterinary College. As Director, Ontario Veterinary College Advancement, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in securing gifts to support the College's strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive advancement strategy, aligning with the College's goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of advancement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and evaluation to ensure individual and team success.
  • Serve as a principal and major gift fundraiser, securing gifts of $1 million or greater to support the College's priorities.
  • Manage prospect and donor activity, ensuring donors are identified, cultivated, solicited, and stewarded.
  • Develop strategies to enhance alumni engagement, cultivating lifelong relationships between the College and its expanding alumni base.
  • Plan and execute events, volunteer management, and outreach strategies to support advancement objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience in fundraising, preferably in a University or public sector setting.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success securing principal and major gifts.
  • Experience leading and managing team members, volunteers, and advising senior administrators.
  • Strategic planning, people management, and administrative skills to lead an advancement team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build consensus and influence direction and priorities.
