**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated Child Welfare Worker to join our team at Kenora-Rainy River Districts Child and Family Services. As a valued member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing child welfare services to children and families in need.

**About the Role:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting investigations, providing emergency services, and ensuring the needs of children living in their own homes or in care are met. They will also work closely with other staff, agencies, and professionals to provide advocacy for services to children and families.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct investigations and provide emergency services as needed
  • Ensure the needs of children living in their own homes or in care are met
  • Work collaboratively with other staff, agencies, and professionals to provide advocacy for services to children and families

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.) or Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree
  • Awareness of Indigenous issues and knowledge of community structure, customs, and traditions is an asset
  • Valid Class G Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with OPCF6A Insurance endorsement
  • Clear criminal reference check, Vulnerable Sector check, Internal Records Check, and Clean Driver's Abstract
