Job Title: Administration Technician - Disability Cases

Job Summary:

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, a school board offering educational services in Nunavik, seeks an Administration Technician to manage disability cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to disability, CNESST, parental leave, and labour relations files.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft letters for employees regarding disability claims and follow up with school administrators.
  • Send disability forms to employees and follow up on receipt of medical certificates.
  • Request and follow up on medical documents with Module du Nord québécois et Ullivik as needed.
  • Notify Payroll of absences and follow up on absences.
  • Answer questions from employees on disability-related pay.
  • Keep a table of absences and plan activities within deadlines.
  • Maintain communications with CNESST and employees in file processing.
  • Manage temporary assignments and gradual returns to work.
  • Prepare CNESST benefit calculations and inform employees on paternity, maternity, and adoption leave provisions.
  • Open new CNESST files for preventive withdrawal and advise employees on terms involved.
  • Approve disability periods on certain files and create paper files for absences.
  • Follow up with personnel on preventive leave and transmit long-term absence files to Beneva.
  • Draft letters to employees regarding collective agreements and labour relations.
  • Coordinate the recovery of overpayments of salary.
  • Inform, assist, and support education administrators and school secretaries with disability claims and labour relations tasks.
Requirements:
  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Human Resources or equivalent studies recognized by the School Board.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in human resources.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment with a hybrid work schedule. They will be required to travel to Nunavik 1 to 2 weeks per school year.

Classification / Salary / Benefits: In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff, this position belongs to job category 4211: from $24.21 to $32.32 an hour depending on qualification and experience. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
