Job Summary

As a key member of the Enterprise Risk Management team at Export Development Canada, the Sr. Advisor, Enterprise Vendor Governance will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with third-party arrangements. This includes developing and implementing effective vendor governance policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance to Contract Owners on best practices related to vendor management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of vendor governance policies and procedures, including OSFI B-10 guidelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to Contract Owners on vendor management best practices, including due diligence exercises and health checks.
  • Develop and implement a robust methodology for measuring and reporting on vendor performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure effective vendor management practices.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate stakeholders on vendor governance policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Business degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or risk management.
  • Experience working with business clients and support functions to assess risks and define risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in program/project management and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and achieve outcomes.
  • Experience interacting with external vendors and internal clients.
  • Experience developing policy instruments and compliance monitoring programs.
Assets
  • Proficiency in information security, including SOC II reports, and knowledge of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) risk and best practices.
  • Familiarity with vendor management systems or TPRM (Third-Party Risk Management) software solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in third-party data.
  • Ability to create informative dashboards to effectively communicate risk analysis findings to stakeholders.
Salary Range

Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $92,355 to $123,139 plus a performance-based incentive.

Location

This role will be performed from EDC's headquarters in Ottawa. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
