Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Blue Sky Family Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting children and youth in a group home setting. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to clients, developing and implementing service plans, and collaborating with other social services agencies and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients' needs and develop service plans to meet their unique requirements
  • Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services as needed
  • Supervise activities and implement behavior management programs to promote positive outcomes
  • Liaise with other agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings to promote independence and socialization
Requirements
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, and Child welfare check
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Judgment and ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
