Job Overview

The Finance Director, Underground Hard Rock is a key business partner to the Sr. Leadership team, providing strategic financial guidance and analysis to support business decisions and growth initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of the global mining market, our mining customers' businesses, and our OEM operating models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a business consultant to the hard rock organization, providing financial planning and analysis to support critical business decisions.
  • Develop and present financial models and forecasts to executive management, highlighting key business trends and opportunities.
  • Manage a finance team, ensuring financial compliance and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Participate in strategic planning and actions for the underground hard rock business, including acquisitions, cost reduction, and growth initiatives.
  • Support general financial processing and reporting requirements through corporate processes.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial planning, consolidations, reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience leading a team of finance professionals in business consultation and accounting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of North American Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Strategic planning experience and skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Background with SAP/BPC software required.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably OEM, is an asset.
  • Previous experience working in a global matrix organization is an asset.
  • Must be eligible to travel globally to customer and Komatsu facilities.
