Job Overview

Komatsu is seeking a Financial Analyst, Hard Rock to join their organization in a key position supporting the global hard rock organization to establish and monitor ongoing business results.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Perform tasks in support of the monthly closing process, including development and report-out of key performance indicators, standard cost variance and margin analysis, and capacity cost reviews.
  • Review balance sheet trends and identify opportunities for return on investment improvement; prepare monthly inventory and capital spending reports, evaluate reserves for lower-of-cost or market and obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
  • Prepare and analyze consolidated quarterly financial outlooks, the annual budget, and annual mid-term strategic plan and business roadmap.
  • Review monthly financial results providing clear and concise analysis of significant P&L, balance sheet, and bookings and backlog variances against budget and outlook.
  • Prepare detailed sales, bookings, and standard variable margin analysis leveraging SAP by region, customer, and product, including original equipment and aftermarket.
  • Provide financial analysis and support around ad-hoc or special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures or restructuring, sales contract and/or commercial/aftermarket proposals and contracts, IT or corporate projects.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or related field; minimum 4-8 years' experience.
  • SAP experience is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial analysis and consolidation.
  • Experience within a global organization with collaboration through various financial resources.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, phone).
  • Solid problem-solving skills with an attention to detail required.
  • Strong communication skills to be able to summarize complex financial data and present findings through verbal and written communication formats.
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze large and, or complex data sets to distill insights, connect ideas into clear and cohesive recommendations using creative, effective, structured, and analytical thinking.
  • Valid passport with ability to travel to global business destinations on occasion.
  • Ability to work varied hours as required due to time zone differences and financial closure timelines.
