Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Construction and Energy team at AXA XL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and structuring tailored solutions for our clients, utilizing your extensive underwriting expertise in Construction and Energy risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and policies to ensure effective risk management and client satisfaction.
  • Review and analyze submissions, terms and conditions, and loss history to determine the degree of risk for each account.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Actuarial, Claims, and Risk Engineering, to support business decisions and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Market and promote our Construction and Energy products to producers and clients, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and business growth.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Construction Property (Builders Risk) and Operational Energy (Renewables, Power etc.) Property Underwriting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, with advanced education and/or professional designations preferred.
