The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrogeology Specialist to join our team at Trace Associates Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for creating positive change and a desire to work in a company that values its employees.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrogeology field programs, including monitoring and sampling, well drilling, and aquifer testing.
  • Coordinate and manage hydrogeology programs, including developing and tracking budgets, maintaining project schedules, and monitoring work scopes as projects progress.
  • Assess hydrogeology data, including compiling, tabulating, and graphing potentiometric and water quality data.
  • Independently prepare reports, including submissions to regulatory authorities, work plans, technical memos, and proposals, for review by senior hydrogeology staff.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to junior professionals.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, landowners/stakeholders, and regulators.
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities.

    About You and Your Qualifications

    • Hold an undergraduate degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or a related field.
    • Be eligible for provincial registration as a Professional Geoscientist or Engineer.
    • Have experience in safely leading environmental drilling programs.
    • Have knowledge of provincial regulations, legislation, policies, and permit application processes.
    • Be able to safely operate vehicles and hold a valid class 5 driver's license.
    • Value health, safety, and wellness.
    • Be a positive, humble, caring, genuine, and trustworthy individual.
    • This position is eligible for overtime, so flexibility and a willingness to work extended hours and travel away from home are essential.
    • Have 5 to 10 years of experience in a related field.
