Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at ALBERTA LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting notices and advertisements, and collecting and screening applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements and develop strategies to meet them.
  • Prepare and post notices and advertisements to attract top talent.
  • Collect and screen applicants, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Review candidate inventories and make recommendations for hiring.
  • Coordinate interviews and negotiations with potential applicants.
  • Recruit graduates of colleges, universities, and other educational institutions.
  • Notify applicants of results of the selection process and prepare job offers.
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures.
  • Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and coordinate termination of employment process.
  • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training.
  • Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties.

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Windows, human resources software, MS Word, and the Internet.

Work Setting:

  • Willing to relocate.
