Job Title: Construction Labourer - Site Operations

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Verona Developments. As a Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, including loading and unloading materials, erecting scaffolding, and performing routine maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades
  • Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites

Requirements:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • 40 hours per week
  • English language

Work Environment: The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will be working outdoors in various locations, often in noisy and hot conditions.

Equipment and Machinery Experience: You will be working with a variety of equipment and machinery, including reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, jackhammers, air compressors, nail guns, sledgehammers, and hand tools.

Transportation/Travel Information: You will need to have your own transportation to and from work.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and in physically demanding conditions. You will need to be able to handle heavy loads and work in tight deadlines.
