Job Summary

BWXT Canada Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Cambridge, ON. As a key member of our Commercial Operations segment, you will be responsible for conducting financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business units across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consolidate segment results for various business units, including running monthly and quarterly actual and forecast financial statements and other reports.
  • Review and perform variance and trend analysis on actual financial results compared with budget and forecast.
  • Assist business units with financial analysis on actual results and forecast to provide insight and improvements to the business.
  • Review and perform variance analysis on forecast results and commitments.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecast and supporting business units and various departments with forecast updates.
  • Report actual and forecasted results and supplemental data in the consolidation software.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare labour and overhead rates.
  • Responsible for capital plan reporting, including tracking and reporting on capital project actuals and forecast results.
  • Prepare the rolling cash forecast.
  • Perform financial analysis on financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in a finance-related discipline complemented by a minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • CPA (or equivalent) designation or in the process of attaining same.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Knowledge in SAP and OneStream is considered an asset.
