Packaging Supervisor Job Summary

Kelly Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Packaging Supervisor to join their team in Brantford, ON. As a Packaging Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the packaging operations, ensuring efficient production schedules, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and manage daily production schedules
  • Organize materials and resources to meet production demands
  • Supervise and direct personnel to comply with company procedures and guidelines
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Occupational Health & Safety Act regulations
  • Train department members to perform their duties safely and effectively
  • Conduct stock checks for inventory purposes as requested by production control

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a GMP, HACCP, or food safety-regulated environment is preferred
  • Strong understanding of packaging machinery, equipment, and production processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production schedules
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with various departments and staff members
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Compensation/Perks:

  • Competitive salary $70,000-75,000 per year
  • Overtime pay after 40 hours
