As an experienced Audit Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our clients' financial statements and identifying areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Engagement Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute audit engagements in accordance with Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Not for Profit Organizations (NPO), and firm policies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of auditors, guiding them through the audit process and providing support as needed.
  • Client Interaction: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and communicating effectively.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay updated on relevant accounting standards (e.g., CAS, ASPE, IFRS, GAAP) and auditing practices to ensure compliance.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks within client operations and financial reporting processes.
  • Quality Control: Review working papers and audit reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive audit reports, highlighting findings, recommendations, and areas for improvement.
  • Business Development: Assist in identifying opportunities for additional services and building client relationships to expand the firm's client base.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of audit methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Certifications: Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of audit experience within a public accounting firm.
  • Skill Set: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards, excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $95,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including dental care, extended health care, paid time off, and vision care.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel to client sites required. The work location is in-person at an office location in North York, Ontario.
