Respiratory Therapist-Flex Job Description

Northern Respiratory Centre Inc. is a locally owned and operated business that has been providing support and education in the field of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Home Oxygen Therapy since 2001. We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team and contribute to the growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate oxygen therapy, CPAP therapy, and assess respiratory health on an ongoing basis.
  • Educate clients on their condition and prescribed therapy, obtaining informed consent to initiate treatment.
  • Protect clients and employees by adhering to safety and infection control policies and protocols.
  • Liaise with medical professionals, provide product demonstrations and education to prospective clients and referral sources.
  • Provide on-call services for oxygen clients in rotation with other staff members.
Requirements:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist with current registration in good standing with their college.
  • Proof of License to practice with the provincial governing body (CRTO, CNO).
  • Proof of a valid Driver's License.
  • Previous Customer Service experience is an asset, with a minimum of 1+ years related healthcare experience.
  • Fluency in English required (reading, writing, and oral), bilingualism is considered an asset.
  • Current Basic Rescuer CPR and First Aid Training is considered an asset.
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), QuickBooks, or similar accounting software & experience with CRM/EMR system.
