About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Gladys Pet Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care: Handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Assistance to Veterinarians: Assist veterinarians before, during, and after surgery, as well as prepare and administer medications and vaccines under their direction.
  • Lab Research and Support: Conduct and assist in laboratory research, identifying livestock and providing critical support to our veterinary team.
  • Client Communication: Counsel clients on animal health care, providing education and guidance to ensure the best possible outcomes for their pets.
  • Office Management: Perform routine office management and clerical duties, including maintaining accurate records and providing administrative support to our team.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Experience in a veterinary setting is an asset, but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
