Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Work Educator to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing educational strategies, programs, and materials related to Social Work theory and practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs, curriculum, and materials for Social Work staff and students, ensuring they reflect up-to-date, evidence-based, and best practices.
  • Provide training and education to Social Work staff and students on profession-specific and inter-professional clinical practice guidelines, using change management techniques to ensure efficient and effective implementation.
  • Deliver new staff orientation for social workers and social work students, ensuring they are familiar with Social Work practice standards, clinical guidelines, legislation, and professional practice resources.
  • Act as a clinical role model and resource for staff, consulting on complex professional practice issues and providing professional advice and support to enhance clinical problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work.
  • Four (4) years' recent, related broad Social Work experience in a variety of practice areas, including mentoring, teaching, knowledge translation, creating educational materials, implementing education strategies, or providing leadership.
  • Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
