Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced BIM/VDC Project Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced BIM/VDC project support to multiple projects within a regional office and mentoring/coaching BIM/VDC Coordinators and Estimators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate project BIM/VDC requirements to trades and ensure adherence to BIM execution plans.
  • Facilitate additional BIM/VDC modeling as required by RFPs and set up clash tests in coordination platforms.
  • Train and assist BIM Coordinators in piloting federated models during project meetings, updating clash tests, and conducting clash detection meetings.
  • Update 4D timeline simulations with revised BIM models and updated P6 schedules.
  • Test and pilot new software and technologies to improve project outcomes.
  • Provide insights and process improvement suggestions based on project data.
  • Ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to provide information and highlight potential conflicts or risks.

Requirements

  • University degree or diploma in Building Technology, Engineering, Architecture, or Construction.
  • Autodesk certification, CANBIM certification, and construction association certification are assets.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, and equivalent technologies.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including opportunities for growth and professional development.
