Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at YWCA Metro Vancouver. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and ensure a safe environment for children indoors and outdoors, including field trips.
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members, parents, and children.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to parents and children upon arrival.
  • Build strong relationships with children and support them in their daily routines.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development.
  • Perform various shift duties as required.

Requirements:

  • A valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification or related work experience and qualifications.
  • A team player with a positive and supportive attitude.
  • A valid clear criminal record check, including working with vulnerable populations.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19, with exemption requests supported by valid legal documents.
