Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Safely: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods at designated locations, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Skills: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and sitting.
