At University Health Network, we are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Technician to join our Facilities Management team.
Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $40,000 per yearThis is a permanent full-time position with 37.5 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair the hospital's piping systems;
- Assemble and construct new piping installations;
- Install pipes carrying water, steam, chemicals, or fuel for various processes;
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act regulations;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum completion of high school and Steamfitter/Pipefitter license;
- 6,000 hours of on-the-job training and technical certification;
- Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude;
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials;
- Strong understanding of system operations and mechanics;
- Effective communication and teamwork skills;
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and reports.
