Job Summary

The Edmonton North Primary Care Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public/Community Board Member to join our Board of Directors. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in governing our organization, formulating policies, and making responsible decisions on fiscal and clinical matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Govern the Edmonton North Primary Care Network, including formulating policies and processes that enable the Board to make responsible decisions on fiscal and clinical matters.
  • Foster the purpose and vision of the Edmonton North Primary Care Network.
  • Maintain a commitment to the financial and social well-being of the Edmonton North Primary Care Network and to primary care, in general.

Qualifications

To be eligible, you should have senior leadership and governance experience, an understanding of financial matters, demonstrated community volunteer involvement, and experience with Board governance.

Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate business acumen and/or have demonstrated experience working within non-clinical industries. Preference will also be given to applicants who have a demonstrated understanding of the principles of corporate governance.

Terms of Office

An Independent Director is appointed by the Board of Directors for a term of 3 years and may serve for up to 3 consecutive terms.
