Role Overview
The Edmonton North Primary Care Network is seeking a skilled Public/Community Board Member to join our team. As a Public/Community Board Member, you will share with the Board Chair and other members the responsibilities of governing the ENPCN, formulating policies and processes, and fostering the purpose and vision of the ENPCN.
Key Responsibilities
- Governing the ENPCN, including formulating policies and processes that enable the Board to make responsible decisions on fiscal and clinical matters.
- Fostering the purpose and vision of the ENPCN.
- Maintaining a commitment to the financial and social well-being of the ENPCN and to primary care, in general.
Qualifications
To be eligible, you should have senior leadership and governance experience, an understanding of financial matters, demonstrated community volunteer involvement, and experience with Board governance.
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate business acumen and/or have demonstrated experience working within non-clinical industries. Preference will also be given to applicants who have a demonstrated understanding of the principles of corporate governance.
Terms of Office
An Independent Director is appointed by the Board of Directors for a term of 3 years and may serve for up to 3 consecutive terms. This posting may be used to fill both existing and future vacancies.
