Job Description: Nurse Practitioner, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) ClinicWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the UBC Centre for Brain Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary health teams, you will be responsible for the comprehensive assessment and management of patients with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and clients to diagnose diseases, disorders, and conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Initiate and manage patient care, including therapeutic interventions and prescribing medications in accordance with regulations and employer policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in peer review and self-assessment to evaluate the effectiveness of patient care services.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), plus 4 years of recent and relevant clinical nursing experience. You should also have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.
